Help Fund Documentary on 100 Monkeys Called "Music Mentary"

The Story

This project aims to shed light on what happens from a music fan’s perspective. The story will be told in a documentary, which will focus on the band 100 Monkeys and will follow their fans throughout their journeys. True to 100 Monkeys and their chosen name, it will showcase the "100th Monkey Effect" that happens alongside their music. The Hundredth Monkey Effect describes the instant, paranormal spreading of an idea or ability to the remainder of a population once a certain portion of that population has heard of the new idea or learned the new ability.

Kat Wojtylak, the Assistant Director to the Official 100 Monkeys Street Team and Fanclub will be producing and directing this project with full support of 100 Monkeys and their management. She brings her enthusiasm for music which has been fueled since an early age due to her mother's jazz background, and her own involvement in bands and ensembles since she was nine. Through this project she is wishing to shed light on a language that speaks across continents and fuels a passion deep within all of us: music.

Celebrity Playlist: Kristen Stewart's Favorite Songs

Kristen Stewart has said that the music she listens to on a project influences her work on set, telling SPIN in 2009, "I think about it quite a bit when I'm working."

So what's Kristen listening to, then?

Though Stewart has a demonstrated love of vintage band tees and hoodies, she's been sticking to more contemporary artists of late. At least that was the case at South by Southwest when she told USA Today, "I listen to The Shins and Radiohead and Interpol. And we sawBand of Horses last night, and that was awesome, because they're, like, my favorite band right now. I love Camera Obscura and Jenny Lewis."

When she was on the New Moon set, however, Stewart was interested in darker fare. She claimed to have listened to a song by Aussie singer-songwriter Sia back to back with Joy Division's "Shadowplay" incessantly while in Italy. Kristen has also been spotted hanging out at concerts by Kings of Leon and San Antonio's pride and joy, Girl in a Coma.

Although Kristen plays guitar and sings — as evidenced by her roles in Into the Wild and The Runaways — don't expect her to start a band of her own anytime soon. She's way too private, telling USA Today, "I'm used to making movies and having people take that from me. But to have my thing be somebody else's experience right now ... I could never be in a band. I feel the same way. I could only ever do that playing somebody else."

Below, find our recommendations for Kristen Stewart fans who want to become more familiar with the actress' musical favorites!

'On The Road' Listed On IMDb As Completed!

'The Help' moves up its release date to Aug. 10

It tends to be a healthy sign when a movie bumps up its release date, even by a couple of days, showing confidence in not just the film, but also the audience. That’s just what DreamWorks has done with its much-anticipated adaptation of the best-selling novel The Help, about the lives of black maids serving largely white families in pre-civil rights Mississippi.

Originally set for Friday, Aug. 12, the movie will now come out on Wednesday, Aug. 10, in the hope fans of the Kathryn Stockett book will turn out early and help build momentum through word-of-mouth leading into the weekend, according to a source at DreamWorks.

It stars Easy A‘s Emma Stone as a forward-thinking young journalist who decides to write a book about the lives of black maids, who are at once an integral part of the families employing them while also getting little respect as individuals in the racially divided South. Octavia Spencer and Viola Davis star as two of the maids, while Bryce Dallas Howard co-stars as a callous socialite scandalized by their revelations.

Harry Potter World Cup: Hagrid Vs. Cedric

The Cedric Factor continues well into the Sweet 16 now that the deceased Diggory has defeated Narcissa Malfoy, but is the pride of Hufflepuff about to enter his final duel? He's going up against Hagrid, the Hogwarts groundskeeper who has been a decisively fan-favorite character since the very beginning of "Potter." Madame Maxime and Narcissa Malfoy, he is not. Let the battle begin!

What do we think? Can we beat Hagrid? - X

Trilogy planned for Kristen Stewart's 'Snow White and the Huntsman' !!!

Producer Joe Roth tells EW that he plans on making the folktale action-adventure movie into a trilogy. “It’s meant to be the first in a series of films,” he said. “This story will end, but there will be questions remaining for these three characters.”

“We retain the basic story in the same way we retain the basic story of Alice [In Wonderland], a young girl meant to be the queen who is cast out,” Roth says. “The Huntsman is a mercenary, in the sense that he’s a guy who is very able in the woods, more able than most anyone. His job is to capture runaway girls, who are all fleeing the kingdom because of the queen. He’s a nondescript bounty hunter, as we first meet him.”
But he’s no killer, Roth stresses. Snow White’s bounty is the first time he has been directed to return with only a part of the missing girl — her heart.
When he finds he doesn’t have it within his to cut hers out, the two become unlikely allies — at first fleeing the Queen’s forces, and then mounting a counterattack on her kingdom.
“He’s not a nice guy, but not only that he’s someone who has lost hope and lost faith. He has lost his wife, given up on everything,” the producer says.
This take on the character of Snow White is also different from the sweetly-singing princess we’ve seen before. “She starts out not a damsel in distress, but innocent and after 11 years of imprisonment by the Evil Queen, she escapes and learns the ways of a warrior in the woods, ” according to Roth...
As for casting Stewart in the role: “Frankly what we did, we searched high and low for an unknown. Which was my want after Alice,”he says. “As we went through it, it just became evident to me that Kristen occupies a space in the universe where she’s a terrific actress only known for one part. I hope this is a movie that will appeal to those who find Twilight appealing, but also (Stewart) is someone who has some piss and vinegar in her.”

The Cedric Factor

The Cedric Factor
Of course, Hagrid goes up against very, very stiff competition in his next Hogsmeade showdown: here, he'll battle Cedric Diggory, the pride of Hufflepuff who was able to defeat Narcissa, the Malfoy matriarch who surprisingly shut down Luna Lovegood in the first round of the tournament. Though she wasn't able to pull off a repeat upset, Narcissa gave Cedric a serious run for his money: he won by a mere margin of 50.85% to 49.15%, and was even losing at multiple points throughout the week.

Considering that a fairly lower-tiered character was able to give the kid so much guff, Cedric and his fans should be very concerned about facing Hagrid, one of the most beloved figures in all of "Potter." This could very well be the end of the road for Diggory.

Crave Online interviews Director Tarsem Singh

Crave Online: Is it interesting to you that everyone talks about your visionary style, but Hollywood tends to take that and ask you to do action?

Tarsem Singh: I like action. I like blow ‘em up movies but my take on blow up movies is not particularly Hollywood. I think me and Fincher in the early days used to call it “there’s a shooter and there’s a director.” We tend to be directors. When you get older, you might become a shooter. You see there aren’t too many different ways you can cut it. Telephoto lenses, the action happens, your actors love that. Then you cut it together and the editor is really your director. For me, if you made your decision up before you shoot it a la Polanski or anybody, it’s kind of set. For me, yes, they like action, I like action. My take happens to be a little bit different than what they like and it’s a tug of war. Do I do it their way? Can I come to terms with it? In this one, I think I could.

Crave Online: Why does everyone still want to be immortal? Have they learned nothing from Highlander?

Tarsem Singh: No, I would like very much to be immortal but immortal at 19 or 20. I would not like to be immortal when I’m holding my catheter. I have no interest in that and right now where I am, I would not like to live forever. I would like to live forever but then.

Kellan Lutz hits up the Coach High Line Party

Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz’s youthful summers were exactly the opposite, if also on the smelly side. “We had a cow and pig farm, and my favorite summer thing to do was water the pigs,” Lutz said. “I had so much energy growing up, I’d go out to the pigpen, I’d sit there for hours, out of trouble, and just water the pigs. The pigs are huge, they’d shake off and I’d get all muddy.”

Kellan Lutz at Coach's High Line Party

The developers of The High Line, Manhattan’s elevated park, seem to get everything right, and their first annual summer party was no exception. Coach Men’s Collection hosted the evening, hence the waiters wearing leather aprons serving up Coach luggage tags.

The leather aprons weren’t very summery, but the new season was on everyone’s mind. Paz de la Huerta insists she has no need to escape the city’s summer humidity and, er, fragrance. “I love New York in the summer. It’s my favorite time, actually. I love the humidity and I love just wandering around the streets,” the native New Yorker said. “When I was a teenager I would bump into one person and go on an adventure – this High Line, I used to come up during the summers and we would do graffiti with my friends back in the day.”

The rise and rise of Xavier Samuel

ACTOR Xavier Samuel is in demand. Tudor earl, vampire, shopper beset by man-eating sharks ... he has been all these and more. But whatever his role, he is a man with innate style
Xavier Samuel has a face that you might not immediately recognise - unless you're a teenage girl or an aficionado of the Twilight movies - and it could be argued that this is what has set him on a sure path to superstardom. This year Samuel has three feature films due for release. And at just 27 years old, his CV is pretty impressive, with roles in movies such as September, Newcastle, The Loved Ones and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
There's no doubt the Adelaide-raised actor has the right looks to be a Hollywood leading man but, unlike some other rising Aussie stars, he hasn't had the pressure of being labelled the next Mel Gibson or the next Russell Crowe. Samuel has just been getting on with the job and, as his hectic work schedule attests, Hollywood's power players have sat up and noticed.
WISH chose Samuel to be the cover star of our annual Best Dressed issue because, along with fellow actors Chris Hemsworth, Ryan Kwanten and Jesse Spencer, he represents a new breed of Aussie male: one who isn't afraid to look good on the red carpet for movie premieres and awards shows and who recognises that it's Hollywood after all. Forget Gibson and Crowe, these guys are the next Errol Flynns.
Samuel seems to be enjoying his itinerant lifestyle, going from one film set to the next. "There is some endurance involved with travelling and not having a permanent base and that's part of the nomadic, gypsy excitement that comes with that," says Samuel about his prolific, back-to-back film schedule - a rarity in the entertainment industry - that has been non-stop since he graduated from the Flinders University Drama Centre in 2005.
This is a golden age for Australian actors in Hollywood. In the past three years Aussie leading men have made cinema history, with Sam Worthington helming the biggest blockbuster ever made, James Cameron's Avatar (2009), which grossed an estimated $2.7 billion in worldwide ticket sales and Heath Ledger's performance as The Joker in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight (2008) raking in $1 billion.
"I have always felt fortunate but it's also crazy, something of that magnitude, and hopefully I'm lucky enough to keep going," says Samuel, whose own recent box-office triumph saw him as the vampire Riley in 2010's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third instalment in the world-engulfing franchise of Stephenie Meyer's novels.
Riley was the role that broke Samuel into Hollywood.Eclipse was his first American film but it gained him a nomination for "Best Breakout Star" at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards. "I'd been doing American auditions for a while and it always felt like sending audition tapes off into the ether," he told Interview magazine in 2010 about landing what would prove a pivotal role. "Just hearing anything back from anyone was kind of startling."

Book-to-Movie: MTV's 10 most anticipated announcements

Character: Simon in "The Mortal Instruments" series
Who is he? Best friend to heroine Clary Fray (Lily Collins), romantic rival to Shadowhunter Jace (Jamie Campbell Bower), rock god extraordinaire (in his dreams)
Latest buzz: Names like Logan Lerman and Asher Book have been bandied about for a while now, but the most intriguing rumor of late (courtesy of Young Adult Fantasy Guide webmaster Stacey O'Neale) is that "Eclipse" star Xavier Samuel auditioned for Jace, and though he didn't score the role, he made quite an impression on Screen Gems. Could he be a Simon contender? (Personally I think he's too old and a little too good looking for the part, but I won't say no to more Xavier in my movies.)

Character: Jared in Stephenie Meyer's "The Host"
Who is he? Kick-ass survivor of an alien invasion, love interest to human/extra-terrestrial Melanie/Wanderer (Saoirse Ronan)
Latest buzz: This film adaptation hasn't been hosting much casting speculation of late, but with a February 2012 filming date (and a March 2013 release date), it's likely news will invade within the next few months. (Sadly, after suggesting Steven R. McQueen for the role yesterday, I realized it would likely conflict with his "Vampire Diaries" schedule. Boo.)

Character: Tris in "Divergent", being adapted for the screen by Summit Entertainment
Who is she? Just one of our new favorite dystopian heroines, that's all
Latest buzz: Fan casting has run the gamut from AnnaSophia Robb to Chloe Moretz. (Our picks included Elle Fanning, Emma Roberts and "Nine Lives of Chloe King" actress Skyler Samuels.) With production in its earliest stages (a screenwriter was named just a few weeks ago), we likely have months before the factions will come together.

How To Wear Ashley Greene's Pitch Perfect Nude Lipstick

Ashley Greene’s flawless nude lip is becoming her summer signature. To get the same effect, choose a satin or crème formula (matte lipstick will leave you looking lifeless and washed out). If your skin is fair with pink undertones, like Greene’s, choose a peachy pink nude. If you have a medium to olive complexion, lean more toward a mauve tone. And if you’re naturally dark, caramel and honey hued nudes will be the most flattering. Before you apply, blot your lips with your regular liquid foundation using a makeup sponge—it will neutralize your natural lip color and keep your shade in place all night.

I love this look! What do you think? - X

Anna Kendrick To Star In 'What To Expect When You're Expecting'

UPDATE #2: Chris Rock has also joined the cast, according to Deadline. He'll play Vic, who offers lectures to fathers-to-be about their pending responsibilities.

UPDATE: We're told that Anna Kendrick has also joined the cast. She'll play Rosie in one of the film's interlocking stories. Her character reunites with an attractive old flame after a turf war between their respective food trucks, and they embark on a funny, poignant journey together in the wake of a surprise pregnancy.

Lionsgate and the producers of the film adaptation of the worldwide bestselling book What To Expect When You're Expecting have announced that Brooklyn Decker (Just Go With It, upcoming Battleship) has been cast to star with Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez in the film, which is expected to begin shooting mid-Summer 2011, and will be in theaters everywhere on May 11, 2012.

Decker will play Skyler in one of the film's interlocking stories. The perennially perky character, who is married to a much older man, sails through her pregnancy with twins much to the consternation of her peers.

Kirk Jones (Waking Ned Devine, Nanny McPhee) is directing the film, which was acquired from a script by Heather Hach and re-written by Shauna Cross (Whip It). The film is based on the book by Heidi Murkoff that has been on the New York Times bestseller list for over 500 weeks. Lionsgate has worldwide rights to the film.

What To Expect When You're Expecting is an ensemble romantic-comedy is in the vein of Love Actually and Valentine's Day. The film is a modern look at love through the eyes of four interconnected couples experiencing the thrills and surprises of having a baby, and ultimately coming to understand the universal truth that no matter what you plan for, life doesn't always deliver what's expected.
