KStew vs. KStew: celebs weigh in who MTV MAs best kiss award

MTV Kristen Stewart Vs. Herself: Celebs Pick MTV Movie Awards' Best Kiss
"Vampire Diaries" star Kat Graham knows a thing or two about hot supernatural guys, and she has a very strong opinion about which kiss rules in "Eclipse": "I love Taylor Lautner," she gushed. "He could be making out with a hamburger, and I would be like, 'Best kiss ever!' "

Olympian Johnny Weir also seems to be a member of Team Jacob. "Taylor Lautner in that movie was, you know, rocking the sex," he exclaimed, most likely referencing Lautner's ever-present abs in the franchise.

"X-Men: First Class" actress Rose Byrne is leaning toward Team Edward when it comes to the kisses, even calling out Pattinson's fan-favorite nickname: "I think it will be RPattz."

Elle Fanning, whose sister Dakota stars in the "Twilight" flicks, concurred with Byrne, reasoning that Stewart's Bella is "marrying Edward, so you sort of have to pick Edward."

"X-Men" hottie Michael Fassbender might not know Edward from Jacob, but he did pick one of the actors over the other. "I'm just going to go with Robert," he said.

Hilary Duff kept it right in the middle with her choice. "You're really going for all the tough questions, aren't you?" she teased. "In the first movie, it was better with Edward, and I think [then] it was better with Jacob," she said. "Was that politically correct?"

By the way, this year's MTV Movie Awards host Jason Sudeikis said Kristen was his favorite person to do the MTV movie awards ads with. He said she was just cool, hanging w/ her dog :) He said it during the MTV live interview w/ Jason Sudeikis & Jason Bateman airing now.

Elizabeth Reaser Talks About 'Breaking Dawn' Wedding, Stress & Nerves

'Mortal Instruments' Author Cassie Clare On Watching Jamie Campbell Bower's Audition: 'I Started Crying'

Imagine writing a bestselling novel adored by fans the world over. Imagine the film rights for said novel were bought, meaning your precious creation was headed to the big screen. Then imagine months and months of speculation regarding who would play the heartthrob leading male, with many of Hollywood's hottest vying for the role. You still with me? Now imagine you were tucked snugly into bed when the big casting news broke!
Such is the case for "Mortal Instruments" author Cassandra Clare, who, thanks to a trip to Australia (and its 14-hour time difference) was fast asleep when the Twitterverse went BANANAS over reports "Camelot" actor Jamie Campbell Bower had been cast as her Shadowhunter dreamboat Jace Wayland. What a wake-up call indeed!

Lucky for us Hollywood Crush, Cassie agreed to stay up until the wee hours of the morning in Australia to talk with Hollywood Crush about her reaction to Jamie's audition tape, his chemistry with co-star Lily Collins and why he'll make the perfect Jace. Keep reading after the jump for our in-depth chit-chat.

Hollywood Crush: You were uncharacteristically quiet on Twitter when the news broke yesterday that Jamie had been cast as Jace. What was up?

Cassandra Clare: I was asleep! I woke up actually because my agent called and said, 'Before you get online and check your email and get on Twitter, I have to tell you this.' So I was prepared. And I got on and was like, 'Oh my god.' Because, you know, thousands of tweets came in. I did not read them all. I was like, 'It's like a nuclear bomb went off.' So the first thing I did was call the studio, because I'm used to there being a lot of rumors floating around, and I wanted to like a) confirm this, and b) what do I need to say?

Let's get down to the nitty-gritties. Why is Jamie so perfect for Jace?
I have seen his audition tape. They sent it to me because they were so impressed with it, and they wanted to get my feedback. People have been asking me what scene he filmed. The answer is a bunch of different scenes. He did scenes where he had to be funny. He did scenes where he had to be romantic. He did scenes where he had to be angry and badass and he pulled the all of amazingly.

He auditioned with Lily, and he and Lily had incredible chemistry that sort of blazed off the scene. I'm just sitting here watching this on my computer, and you know, he was not the only person they've ever sent me to look at. I've gotten lots of headshots and this and that, and I'm watching the audition and I literally started crying because that was my Jace and Clary on the screen. And it's an incredible feeling to see that even as an audition. This is amazing. He was snarky funny where he needed to be snarky funny, and he was badass where he needed to be badass. And he and Lily were incredible together.

In fact, after all the auditions, because she's done auditions with a bunch of different actors, she wrote to the head of the studio, Clint Culpepper of Screen Gems, and she was like, 'It's Jamie. It's gotta be Jamie.' He told me that, this was before he had seen the audition, he told me that he wrote back and he was like, 'He's a rock star hipster kind of guy. Do you think he can be a badass warrior-dude, as well?' And she wrote back and said, 'That is Jace standing there. When you watch the audition you'll see what I see.'

Sam Bradley brings a sincere and stellar show to The Compound Bar & Grill

“So you’re the big enchilada?” said an inquisitive concert goer after Bradley’s set. “Yes, I am the enchilada,” replied Bradley in a dry London accent. “Well don’t forget about the sauce,” she said, gesturing toward Bradley’s band members, sitting at the table beside us, “the sauce is very important.” ‘Yes,” said Bradley, “the sauce is very important.” Sam Bradley, a singer-songwriter from London, England stopped off at the Compound Bar & Grill in Scottsdale, AZ last Saturday on his North American Tour. His ‘sauce’ consisted of drummer Mark Kerrey, bassist Jeff Riedlinger and guitarist John Notto.

Now, when bands are simply named after the front man, you tend to expect most of their music to be total singer-songwriter songs with a little drums, bass, and guitar to back things up and make for a fuller sound. But Bradley’s show wasn’t exactly the case. Though a few of the songs were fully based on Bradley’s guitar and vocals, the band made the most of utilizing each member. Notto would sometimes take full guitar duties as Bradley put down the acoustic to dance around a bit. Bassist Riedlinger even sang lead vocals to kick off a song. It’s always a relief to see these kinds of band making use of each musician, rather than the glory-hogging front-man keeping his supporting musicians to nothing more than well orchestrated background noise. Bradley made good use of the ‘sauce,’ so they say. That was half the reason I so enjoyed Bradley’s set. The other half was just the fact that the music was written and performed so well.

Sam Bradley’s music is a kind of bluesy southern rock, with a kick of country and a little bit of classic rock. Think Ryan Adams or Bon Jovi with a hint of Led Zeppelin. Their show at The Compound Grill last Saturday grew more and more enjoyable as the show went on. The band seemed a little weary at the beginning of the show (justifiable as the show was their 8th in a row in a tour started in April). But as the tunes started rolling, Bradley and his band started to hit solos with perfection and began kicking out flawless songs.

The band is nearing the end of their tour, which will officially come to a close this Wednesday. The band started on Apr. 20 up in Canada and has been constantly touring since. Bradley, who has lived in Paris, Nashville, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Los Angeles, and a variety of other places is no stranger to travel though. Check out more info on Sam Bradley and upcoming tours at sambradley.com.

Marcus Foster's New Single and Tour

Single: ‘Rushes & Reeds’
Release Date: 5th June 2011
Label: Communion/Geffen Records

Marcus Foster releases his new single, ‘Rushes & Reeds’ on the 5 June through Communion/Geffen Records. It is taken from the debut album, ‘Nameless Path’ to be released on 27th September.

Marcus Foster could have had it easy. He could have dropped names; doors could have flung open. Had he pursued the frequently garish route of your usual Next Big Thing contender, he'd have got it quite easily, T4 specials and all the rest of it.

‘Nameless Path’ was recorded at the beginning of 2011 at Rockfield Studios in Monmouth under the expert supervision of Communion’s Ian Grimble in the producer’s chair. Surrounded by his band and friends, the 13 tracks on Nameless Path sound as though they’ve been discovered from a golden age of music. Marcus is keen to distance himself from the greats, but the spirit of prime Van Morrison is very much self-evident. It’s a raw, soul-soaked, bluesy rock’n’roll record, rich with languor and melancholic life. Not bad for a 24 year old.

Marcus Foster was born in London. He was six years old when he felt inexplicably drawn to the piano for the first time, and began to take lessons. This was unusual, he points out, because although his family were a family of music lovers, none had a particular penchant for playing themselves. But Marcus did, and he became quietly obsessive about it.

By his early teens, he had discovered his artist father's Bob Dylan records, and his journey was now well underway, sparking an interest that would take him backwards rather than forwards. This means that while friends at school were lamenting the loss of Kurt Cobain and obsessing over an emergent Britpop, Marcus was instead stumbling into a kaleidoscopic world of Tom Waits, Van Morrison and Sister Rosetta Tharpe.

He took a degree in Fine Art, specialising in sculpture, and finally an MA, which he completed just recently. It was while studying for his MA at the Royal College of Art that Charles Saatchi discovered his work, and promptly snapped up one of his creations. Saatchi was not the only one who liked what he saw: his degree show was subsequently exhibited across Italy and Greece.

Marcus contributed one song to the Twilight soundtrack, entitled Let Me Sign, sung by his school friend Robert Pattinson and two songs in the road movie Five Dollars a Day starring Christopher Walken and Sharon Stone, this was enough to light a fire under Marcus's name, and create an awful lot of premature excitement.

"It's an exciting time certainly," he understates. "And I'm still amazed, frankly, that all this interest has sprung up so quickly."

Much of it makes him understandably wary: "I've been lucky enough to see what fame can do to somebody up close, and I have to say that I wouldn't want anything like that for myself, not for all the money in the world. But I would like to continue to make music, and to perform it. It feels natural, and good."

He certainly sounds like he was born for little else.

After playing Jasper Hale in The Twilight Saga and co-starring in The Last Airbender, Rathbone recently signed up for an English-language version of Dostoyevsky's The Idiot, alongside Erika Christensen.

Kristen Stewart "Definitely" Attending MTV Movie Awards!!

If her funny promo video wasn't confirmation enough, E! can assure you, with 100 percent certainty, that Kristen Stewart will attend Sunday's MTV Movie Awards in Los Angeles.

The actress is up for three awards, including Best Kiss with Robert Pattinson.

But will shy Kris walk the red carpet? And will Rob be by her side?

"Kristen is definitely planning on attending the show on Sunday," a solid MTV source reveals to E!, exclusively. "She has made all of the necessary plans to be there. She will probably walk the red carpet, but you never know because with her, it's usually a game-time decision depending on how she feels."

We can also expect to see the premiere of the Breaking Dawn trailer during the show.

And while Kristen has made all of the necessary arrangements to be home from London in time to attend the show and pick up her awards in person, we're still not quite sure whether or not Rob will be able to break away from the Cosmopolis set in Canada.

Catherine Hardwicke delighted by Eclipse nominations

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke thinks it's 'awesome' that the third film in the series - Eclipse - has been nominated for eight MTV Movie Awards.

Hardwicke, who directed the first movie, told MTV News: 'I think it's great. I love it that people are so passionate about it and that people are really into it and following the characters.

'I think it's a great tribute, obviously, to what [author] Stephenie Meyer created… Rob [Pattinson] and Kristen [Stewart] and everybody's been able to just keep it going and keep people loving it all this time and, of course, all the directors.

'I think it's awesome.'

Modus FX to Create Canada's First Stereoscopic Animated Feature

Modus FX has embarked on an ambitious new stereoscopic 3D journey – an 80-minute animated film called "Sarila." Directed by Nancy Florence Savard, Sarila is a compelling coming-of-age story set amongst the Inuit people of the Arctic. Starring Christopher Plummer (The Sound of Music, The Last Station), Geneviève Bujold (Anne of the Thousand Days, The Trotsky), Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight, Barney's Version), Dustin Milligan (Beverly Hills 90210, Slither) and Natar Ungalaq (The Fast Runner) the production will be the first feature-length stereoscopic animated film created in Canada.

For director Savard, the film has been a labour of love for the past ten years. "'Sarila' tells the story of three young Inuit who strike out on their own in order to save their clan from starvation," she said. "This is an inspirational story, full of hope. It shows young people facing daunting challenges and, through the experience, taking control of their lives. Their world is exotic to us but their experience is universal."

Written by acclaimed children's author Roger Harvey and Pierre Tremblay, an expert in Inuit culture, and adapted by Paul Risacher, the film uses authentic settings and indigenous mythology in order to capture the world of the "Great White North."

Twilight Vs Harry Potter – what celebrities say…

Twilight Vs Harry Potter – what celebrities say…

They’re two of the biggest ever film franchises, and at this Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards The Twilight Saga and Harry Potter are going head-to-head.

Twilight Saga: Eclipse and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 have eight and six nominations respectively – but MTV.com wanted to find out which film franchise is a hit with the residents of Tinsletown.

Speaking to X-Men: First Class stars Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy on the very important topic of vampires vs wizards, Michael diplomatically replied; I'm going to have to remain neutral on that,” however his co-star James MaAvoy was quick to out him, replying, "You said you cried watching Twilight, after 30 seconds." Lol! Anyone else tickled by the thought of Michael Fassbender weeping to Bella and Edward?

Meanwhile Team Potter picked up one vote from Camilla Belle, who explained, “Harry Potter'is more my generation, I remember I was in elementary school when Harry Potter came out." But Glee’s Chord Overstreet pledged his alligence to Twilight, "I'd have to say [Team] Twilight.”

Former Disney star Hilary Duff is also a vamp fan “[There's] something about vampires and werewolves that do it for me."

We want to know which side you stand on. Who deserves to win big at this weekend’s MTV Movie Awards… Are you Team Potter or Team Twilight? Vote now…
