Dakota Fanning would be Authors dream casting choice!
"Today, we bring you a guest post from Diana Ilinca, author of Zirconya: The Sage of Aluh’Nehn:
I’m not gonna lie and say I never thought about Zirconya being a movie. I have the characters rather played out in my head, actually. The vivid dream I had about it about two months ago only makes that visual stronger, but there is an odd truth to it all.
Hollywood is a dream that so many authors have, though, I have to say, it hasn’t been something that’s overtaken my mind. Yes, I have actors in my mind, but not because I desire it to be a movie, but rather for placing a face on my characters.
I can tell you now that if anyone would approach me about turning Zirconya into a movie, I would likely be very stingy. Why? I’m afraid of what they’ll do to my story. Zirconya is my baby. The one place that I escaped to all of my adolescent life and I feel like I can’t put that in the hands of strangers to make what they would of it. I would have to be 100% confident that they would do it justice! Anyway, I am here to share with you my dream cast.
Let us begin:
Let’s talk Caelum a.k.a. Chloe. If you’ve been keeping up with Zirconya’s progress into publication, the names might seem familiar. Caelum is the elven Sage of Aluh’Nehn (water). When she was sent to Earth for safety, she took on a human form, which is Chloe Wiles.
For Caelum/Chloe, I always imagined Dakota Fanning as doing a wonderful job of her. The looks fit, now that she’s getting a little older. Caelum/Chloe is seventeen, though I imagine her looking a bit older."
