Popwrap Interviews Kellan Lutz

PopWrap had the chance to talk to Kellan about his new movie Meskada, and you can read part of the interview below:

PopWrap: When we spoke back in 2008, “Twilight” had yet to come out — what have the last two years been like for you?

Kellan Lutz: Life flies by man. You look back and think, “God, what have I done in the last two years [laughs].” But I love making movies and I feel so blessed for someone who didn’t dream of ever being an actor. If I don’t win an Oscar, I won’t cry a river … but it would be amazing [laughs].

PW: What attracted you to “Meskada?”

Kellan: It’s just so different from anything I’ve ever done. I’ve been a part of these commercial movies, like the “Twilight” saga, so I wanted to play something that was real. Something that may not bring in a huge audience, but had a very well written story to tell. Plus, I grew up in a small farming town in Iowa, and the conflict that they go through with jobs disappearing is very real, so I really liked that about the script.

PW: But there are a lot of younger male characters in the film — what appealed to you in particular about Eddie?

Kellan: He is a very simple character, he’s just trying to help out his friend – who he sees like a brother – when he gets pulled into this whirlwind of a mistake. He gets caught up in something bad by trying to do something good.

'Eclipse' star Xavier Samuel named GQ Australia's 'Man of Style'

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Xavier Samuel ("Riley Biers") has been chosen as GQ Australia's "Man of Style" in the "Men of the Year 2010" edition.
Per GQ:
GQ’s Man of Style Xavier Samuel was surprised to learn we’d anointed him the most dapper chap in the land. “I’m not really a fashion enthusiast. I just wear stuff I like and feel comfortable in,” was the 26-year-old actor’s initial reaction . . . “Someone once told me I should never wear a black T-shirt because everyone that was cool – Paul Newman, Marlon Brando – wore a white one. The only person who ever wore a black T-shirt was Patrick Swayze. The person telling me this said, ‘So it’s your call – do you want to be Newman, or do you want to be Swayze?’”
In the attached slideshow of photos of Xavier Samuel from near Eclipse's release, he wears both white and black t-shirts . . . and he looks pretty cool either way, don't you think?
For those of you who are curious what Samuel is up to these days, he's been working on a new 3-D film entitled Bait. Also, his film with Jamie Campbell Bower ("Caius" in the Saga), Anonymous, is expected to release in September of next year. So, there'll certainly be plenty of opportunities for fans to see more of Xavier Samuel in the future!

A ‘Twilight’ Baby!

On the set of Breaking Dawn, Kristen Stewart is eager to embrace the next exciting chapter of Bella and Edward’s love story. In the new issue of OK!, on sale this week, we take a look at what’s new  in the Twilight Saga movies. The difficult birth of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen’s child is one of the most terrifying scenes in the whole Twilight series, and Kristen can’t wait to film it! “Bella does change a lot,” Kristen, 20, says. “She [becomes] such a mother. I think it will be awesome to see how much she’s changed from Twilight, where she’s a 17-year-old kid who doesn’t really care a whole lot, to see her become this matriarch.”

But Bella’s new maturity occurs only after she goes through the agony of delivering her half-human, half-vampire daughter, with the aid of Edward (Robert Pattinson). And the early word on the script of Breaking Dawn, which will be released as two movies, is that Renesmee’s birth will be every bit as shocking on screen as it is described in Stephenie Meyer’s novel.

New Ashley Interview: Twilight Star's Topsy Turvy Life

Ashley Greene, the 23-year-old who plays Alice Cullen in the movies, was leading a life of relative normalcy before landing the Twilight gig, working in a restaurant while auditioning for various acting roles.
"I was working in a restaurant, reading the book series and then I had to put in my two weeks and flew to Portland... and I've kind of been just going and going ever since," she said, adding that she was extremely grateful for the opportunity.
"It's been absolutely incredible. For an actor, you can't really dream stuff like this up. I feel really, really blessed to be a part of this.
