A special note from BREAKING DAWN director, Bill Condon

Hello fans!

Has it really been five months (and a day) since my last dispatch?  In my defense, they've been five months spent immersed in the world of TWILIGHT - something I'm sure you can all appreciate.  We're in the thick of pre-production now, juggling everything from casting to storyboarding to location scouting, getting it all ready to go, but I do want to take a moment to announce to you exclusively a few of the amazing production team members who are hard at work alongside me, bringing these movies to life.  I hope you'll be as excited about them as I am:

Guillermo Navarro, who won an Academy Award for the beautiful PAN'S LABYRINTH, is our cinematographer.  Guillermo and I have been painstakingly planning each shot, with a team of very talented storyboard artists.

Michael Wilkinson, our costume designer, is bringing his brilliant vision to the styles of all your favorite characters.  Michael's created fantastic looks for 300, WATCHMEN, and the upcoming TRON: LEGACY - just wait 'til you see his take on the vampire witnesses who come to Forks from around the globe.

Jean Black, our makeup designer, has worked extensively with the Coen Brothers and David Fincher, most recently making exquisite, award-winning contributions to THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON.  I'm honored to be working with her.

Richard Sherman, with whom I made GODS AND MONSTERS and KINSEY, is on-board as our production designer.  Richard's one of my oldest collaborators and a terrific designer, and you may be interested to know that he also happens to be a lifelong vampire aficionado.

Our Oscar-winning visual effects supervisor John Bruno has been responsible for some of the most memorable special effects ever, with his groundbreaking work on display in everything from POLTERGEIST to AVATAR.  He and his team are working intensely to develop solutions to the host of special effects challenges that Stephenie created for us in BREAKING DAWN, including that remarkable kid...

Wonderful, imaginative people all and very exciting, intense times for us.  Even with the months of work we've already put in, we're barely underway on the journey, and I do hope to get back to you much sooner next time with more news.  Until then, thanks for your warm reception and continued support!

Very best regards,
Bill

Twilight Cast = Tabloid Free

"It just became too much to deal with so we just talk amongst ourselves."

Twilight saga regular Christian Serratos, when we asked her recently if she kept up with her costars via tabloids during breaks from filming. The gal—who plays one of Bella's real-life besties—say she's mucho exited to return to set with über-famous friends Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson (duh).

But Chris really doesn't pay any attention to Robsten breaking up, getting married, and having babies? Or which gal-of-the-week Taylor Lautner is hanging with in his tricked out, diva trailer?

Robert Pattinson's Favorite Things

We all know Robert Pattinson loves himself some Kristen Stewart but what else can’t the Twilight heartthrob do without?

Here’s ten things that make Rob smile (or cry in the case of numbers 2 and 7)!

1. Simon Cowell

“It would be one of the best things ever to get paid for handing out Simon Cowell-style insults for the day. I don’t think he’s rude, I think he’s just painfully honest, which is what makes him so good. He must absolutely love his job, it can’t be one you’d ever get bored with.”

2. His Dog Patty

"I had this incredible dog which I talked about in this interview the other day and I said the dog was the most important person in my life and my family went crazy at me for saying it. It (his death) was one of the most defining moments of my life; it was the worst day of my life having the dog die."

3. Playing Edward Cullen

“Well, you can kiss Kristen Stewart. You can drive a Volvo. You can hold yourself back from killing people, which is always handy. Five reasons? You have a great peacoat, and you never have a hair out of place.”

MTV Asks Us To Describe Rob's Beard...

Robert Pattinson was spotted recently sporting an epically untamed, Joaquin Phoenix-like beard. We're not sure of its purpose—the world's worst disguise (nothing could mask those telltale pretty peepers!), practicing his Brad Pitt impression—but needless to say, we are unimpressed.

Why mar your baby face with a bushy beard, RPattz? Nothing should hide that perfect, strong jawline. It looks out of place on you, too. It's like the makeup department of your latest film got a little crazy in the trailer one morning and spirit gummed a whole bunch of facial hair on your cheeks.

Ashley Loves Donna!

Ashley Greene recently caught up with Access Hollywood during New York Fashion Week, where she revealed that she loves Donna Karan’s fashions.

Ashley says, “She is a woman herself and she knows how to dress them. For me, there’s something that’s strong and powerful about the clothing line but it’s also very feminine at the same time. It’s a very nice balance to have.”

Interview with 100 Monkeys

If you want to have a fun night and see a great concert, you definitely want to check out when 100 Monkeys will be in your area. If they aren’t near you yet, then listen to their music and you are still bound to have a good time.

Ben Johnson, Jackson Rathbone, Ben Graupner, Jerad Anderson, and Uncle Larry make up the eccentric band 100 Monkeys. These 5 guys are all individually talented and when they bring their talents together, it really is something special. Unlike any band you’ve heard before, 100 Monkeys has such a unique way of telling stories through their music. When on stage, their energy is outstanding and the crowd , always has fun. If you have not seen them on stage yet, definitely pick up a copy of their new DVD, Live and Kicking Pt. 2, which will be released this month.

The guys are very busy on group and individual projects. Recently they got together to write the score for a new movie, Girlfriend. Girlfriend premiered at this year’s Toronto Film Festival in September, with sold out showings. Band members Jerad Anderson and Jackson Rathbone took part in the production work for the film as well as played parts in the movie.

Girlfriend is about a woman named Candy (played by Shannon Woodward), who is involved in a love triangle with her abusive ex-boyfriend Russ (played by Jackson Rathbone), and a kind young man who has Down Syndrome, Evan (played by Evan Sneider). The reviews on the film have been extremley positive, so defintly be on the look out for when this movie hits theaters.

'Stretch Armstrong' Shirtless For The Whole Movie

Okay, I think we can all agree that Stretch Armstrong isn't exactly a traditional "superhero" per se, but the fact remains that the popular Hasbro toy is becoming one on the big screen, courtesy of an upcoming live-action film starring "Twilight" alum Taylor Lautner.

And while "Stretch Armstrong" screenwriter Nick Stoller ("Get Him To The Greek") once compared the tone of the film to "Iron Man" (something Lautner questioned in a subsequent interview), there's a good chance that the real superpower on display in the film could be Lautner's mutant ability to attract audiences... to his abs.

"[Lautner] will not wear a shirt," Stoller joked to MTV News. "Yeah, he won’t wear a shirt through the whole thing."

Amy Adams Talks Kristen Stewart

Amy Adams was very popular recently with the young people in her life.

You see, she recently spent four days in New Orleans shooting On the Road with Twilight star Kristen Stewart…

"I got requests for autographs, and I didn't ask for a single one," Adams told me yesterday at Variety's Power of Women luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel, where she was honored for her work with the Bronx-based Ghetto Film School.

Why?

Adams may be a 36-year-old two-time Academy Award-nominee and mother of one, but when it comes to teen, she said, "I guess I'm getting to the point in my life where I'm suspicious of teenagers and I'm intimidated a little bit."

FACT OR FICTION: Robert Pattinson Ured To Get His Music Career Off The Ground

ROBERT Pattinson is being urged to get his music career off the ground!

Source say the hunky British actor’s agent, Stephanie Ritz, has been busy trying to convince Rob to release his own album.

Rob, you’ll recall, was the singer of two songs on the Twilight soundtrack: Never Think, which he co-wrote with Sam Bradley, and Let Me Sign, which was written by Marcus Foster and Bobby Long.

“Stephanie’s encouraging Rob to get his music career off the ground, which he is hugely passionate about,” a source revealed.

Pattinson, 24, has previously revealed he’d love to make a record — but isn’t sure he’d want the public to listen to his work.

“I’m not particularly interested in releasing it, but I’d like to do some gigs. I guess the only way to do that is to get an album out,” he said last year.

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Rob’s girlfriend, Kristen Stewart, is jealous of his close relationship with Stephanie.

“Their relationship is on the rocks,” a source said. “Kristen is resentful of Rob’s friendship with Stephanie.

“Rob and Stephanie have always been close, and Kristen is uncomfortable with it.”

Hmmmm, let me see...... I'm going with possible fact on the first part and total BS on the second! Who's with me? Feel free to comment below!
