More on Kristen and Robert on the Red Carpet: Have They Gone Public?

Kristen Stewart, just walked the red carpet at the NYC premier of Robert Pattinson’s new romantic drama, Remember Me, in a show of support for her real life and onscreen boyfriend! While the actress didn’t stop for interviews, the fact that she appeared, for all the world to see, is clearly a major statement about the seriousness of the once publicity-shy couple’s relationship.

Both Robert and Kristen spent most of last year denying that they were romantically involved — despite reports that they were staying together while filming Eclipse, despite photos of them handholding, and despite Hollywoodlife.com’s exclusive report on their romantic New Year’s Eve at a local dive bar, the Winter Gardens, in the tiny town of Ventnor on the Isle of Wight!

But just last week, R-Patz finally admitted to the UK newspaper, The Sun, that ” it is extremely difficult, but we are together, yes.” He also confided that “we can’t arrive (to events) at the same time because of the fans. It gets crazy.”

Chloe Melas, Hollywoodlife.com’s reporter at the premiere says that fans, lined up all around the Paris Theatre, are going CRAZY! Kristen looks sexy great in skinny leggings, a black t-shirt, a cropped leather jacket and heels.

Rob is wearing a blue suit, white button down shirt, and open-necked with no tie. And when Chloe asks Rob if he is a “rebel” like his character in Remember Me, Tyler … he smiles and agrees!

Now, was K-Stew also there to make sure there were no more rumors about Rob being romantically involved with his Remember Me co-star, Emilie de Ravin? Hmm! In any case it all worked. K-Stew and R-Patz have now OFFICIALLY gone public and here’s another sweet fact — Rob’s mom and dad — Clare and Robert Pattinson, were there to support their son, too!

Kristen Stewart Hits the Red Carpet for RPattz's Flick

Maybe this is the real deal.

Walking the red carpet for Remember Me, Robert Pattinson's new film, Kristen Stewart surprised even longtime Robsten watchers by showing up to support the film. And looking lovely in leather, as well.

Is the beginning of something a little more public for the rumored romancers? (Or maybe she just wanted to check out the kissing scenes costar Emilie de Ravin has been talking about.)

As our own Ted Casablanca has been saying, the pair has been reportedly spotted together in London and New York over the past week, but generally don't make a point to make appearances together.

Which, by the way, they didn't. The two didn't pose for pictures together.

Gossip Cop on Robsten

HollywoodLife, which bashed Stewart twice when she attended a Haiti relief fundraiser and helped spread last week’s (wrong) story that Pattinson had confirmed a relationship with his co-star, now complains that the two are acting “coy” by not walking next to each other in public.

“Why do these two try so hard (yet so unsuccessfully) NOT to be seen together!” whines the site, upset that their arrivals at JFK airport and a BAFTA party weren’t perfectly choreographed for photographers.

Of course, the site then twists this new annoyance with Pattinson and Stewart into conclusive evidence of couplehood. ”Further proof that R-Patz & K-Stew are more than friends? They tried to hide their love again!” HollywoodLife declares.

So just to recap: HollywoodLife still claims Pattinson openly “confirmed” a relationship last week, and yet complains that he and Stewart aren’t arm in arm in public.

Huh? How can the site say in the same piece that Pattinson is telling the press he and Stewart are a “couple” and also label them, in the headline, “secret lovers”?

Gossip Cop will say again what other outlets should say:

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are not obligated to share their personal lives. They are not obligated to do things according to the media’s timetable. And they are not obligated to walk the way outlets want them to walk.

Robert Pattinson Greets His Fans Outside the Today's Show

Robert Pattinson's Interview with Jake The Movie Guy

Robert Pattinson talks Being a Big Brother in Remember Me

Robert Pattinson probably didn’t want to spend his Saturday at a press junket any more than the journalists who greeted him there, but we’re all professionals here. Especially Pattinson, whose new film Remember Me features the young megastar in a searching departure from his Twilight turn as Edward Cullen. There’s still the young torment, the dilemma of first love (with a fellow NYU student played by Emilie De Ravin) and, well, that awe-inspiring hair. But in determining what makes his character Tyler Hawkins tick, there’s also a somewhat shocking awareness of mortality beneath all that gorgeous sulking. Between his aloof father (Pierce Brosnan), his compassionate mother (Lena Olin), his confidante little sister (Ruby Jerins) and the ghost of his dead older brother, Tyler is always just on the verge of some discovery — and despite what Pattinson’s fans may crave, it’s not quite catharsis.

I’d love to be more specific, and I will be as Remember Me’s review embargo drops prior to its March 12 opening. Until then, Pattinson helped Movieline make at least a little sense of it all at last week’s press gathering in New York:

Speaking about your role in this film, your co-star Pierce Brosnan said, “[h]e’s courageous to find a piece like this, knowing that he has the Twilight franchise breathing down his throat, and you know it will be up to him to go out there and seek these films between these mega-movies he’s about to do.” How do you respond to that?

I don’t think it’s courageous. I think it’s more courageous to do something to try to compete with it. They’re so huge. Like, the idea of doing a massive film, [for] which everybody says, “This is going to make tons of money,” and the whole point of it is to be huge or a summer blockbuster or something like that? The idea of doing something like that between the Twilight films is terrifying because you put yourself out way more on the line. I mean, I keep wanting to do ensemble pieces where all the other parts are great, and you can get really great actors in so you don’t have to bear the whole burden of the movie. If I could do supporting roles in things, then I’d love to do that. But it’s difficult to get supporting roles because it would be really weird most of the time. “Well, there’s the guy from Twilight playing the parking warden,” or something. But I would love to do that.

One of my maiden problems that I’ve been trying to learn about is how to pace a performance to drive the film forward instead of just concentrating on character. I mean, I just want to concentrate on character all the time, and I don’t really know how pacing works. Yet. So I try to choose little random projects where I can completely relate to the story — so I don’t have to take any particular risks for it.

Shooting in downtown Manhattan notoriously became a kind of circus atmosphere, to say the least. How did that affect your psychology — and thus the kind of angst-y psychology of the character? That discomfort in your own skin?

There are some parts — like the part I’m playing now (in Bel Ami) — where it would have really helped having loads of paparazzi up in your face all the time. He’s sort of such a self-contained, very, very confident man. But it was really annoying for Tyler, because there’s something about… He’s always looking for things. You wanted to be free to look around. He kept looking around, and if you looked up from the pavement you can hear all the shutters accelerate all of the sudden. So I’m looking down all the time. It’s always going to be difficult if you’re playing a normal guy and you walk around the corner and everyone’s taking pictures. Because you’re going into it with the mentality that it’s a struggle to not go into the scene with that mentality. But it got better throughout the shoot. As soon as you get used to it, it just becomes like any other job. It’s just part of the furniture.

Robert Pattinson & Jimmy Fallon Filming a "Robert is Bothered"

LOL!!!

UPDATE:   From Gossip Cop

For anyone who hasn’t seen the photo of Robert Pattinson shooting a “Rob Is Bothered” segment with Jimmy Fallon, here it is.

And for everyone else, some additional info: Gossip Cop confirms the the bit will air on tonight’s broadcast, which also, of course, features Pattinson as a guest.

What’s more, Fallon’s crew didn’t even need to take Pattinson to Central Park. The segment was shot where Fallon always shoots “Rob Is Bothered” — on a 12th floor terrace at 30 Rockefeller Plaza.

It’ll be interesting to see Robert and “Robert” bothered together.

Remember Me Behind the Scenes Footage and Rob On SET Interview!

Will Robert Pattinson Make it to the Oscars?

From Marc Malkin at E! Online:

Just because Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are presenting at Sunday's Oscars without Robert Pattinson that does not mean the world's most famous sparkly bloodsucker wasn't invited, too.

"I think the Pattinson community is going insane," Oscars coproducer Adam Shankman told us last night at Vanity Fair's FEED Foundation and Hungry in America Project event. "All I want to say is, 'He's not available!' "

Yes, Pattinson is currently in New York City to promote his new romantic drama Remember Me, but...

Rob has to jet right back to Europe to continue shooting Bel Ami.

"It's not like we snubbed him," Shankman assured us. "It's not like we said no to him. We asked him to be in the show. We tried really really hard to get him there. We were working on getting Summit to fly him in for the day, but eventually it became too much."

Ashley Greene Vs. Nikki Reed, It’s A ‘Twilight’ Simple & Chic Beauty Showdown!

Both Cullen sisters were out looking pretty and chic this weekend, but who does simple beauty better?

We all know Ashley Greene and Nikki Reed as the immortally beautiful Cullen sisters from Twilight so it’s no surprise that these two both looked phenomenal this weekend. Ashley was in Milan at the Gucci runway show on Feb. 27 and Nikki was in LA at a pre-Oscar party on Feb. 28. Although they were an ocean apart, their beauty looks are shockingly similar. The two starlets both opted for simple updos, subtle brown shadow, lush lashes and natural lips. So, who does this look better?

Twitter Me This: Question Of The Day.... Kristen? RM Premier? ( Via @KStew411 )

@KStew411 Posted a great question a little bit ago on Twitter....

"Lots of questions about Kristen going to the Remember Me premiere tonight. Let's put it this way: will you be surprised if she goes?"

Robert Pattinson Visits The Today Show Before Tonight's Premiere!

Robert Pattinson and his facial scruff paid a visit to The Today Show this morning in NYC to talk about Remember Me before its release this Friday. He opened up to Matt Lauer about how difficult it's been transitioning from using all the standard answers he'd used while promoting New Moon to thinking of new and clever responses about his most recent film. They did touch on the Twilight series, with Rob saying he'd be happy to work on it for a while longer — wonder if that's because he'd get to spend more time with a certain someone? Matt couldn't help getting in one question about Rob's racy Details spread. Rob joked, "I offered to do a naked photo shoot, and no one wanted to see it. It started off with me naked, but then they're just like, 'Actually just, forget it.'" Hard to imagine that was the case, but Robert will be fully clothed this evening for his movie's big NYC premiere — we'll be there live on the red carpet and tweeting the whole time, so make sure to check back!
