Initially, we were told the interview was “a fake.”
We then contacted many, many more individuals, including the author of the explosive interview published in The Sun, “R-Patz admits: I AM with K-Stew.”
Unlike numerous other sites which took the interview at face value and never fact checked, including Hollyscoop (“Robert Pattinson Confirms He’s Dating Kristen Stewart) and HollywoodLife (“Finally, Kristen! Your boyfriend R-Patz ADMITS you are a couple!”), Gossip Cop verified with the reporter — more than once over the course of a few hours — what was and wasn’t said on Sunday.
The reporter told Gossip Cop Pattinson “didn’t say ‘we are a couple,’” adding that “he wasn’t going to spell it out in great detail.”
What the reporter did ask during the post-BAFTAs dinner, where Pattinson was several feet away from Stewart for this Q&A, was, “Is this a public appearance together?”
The reporter told Gossip Cop Pattinson replied, “We are together.”
When Gossip Cop pressed him on whether Pattinson’s response meant he and Stewart were a couple, the reporter said, “That’s my assumption from what he said.”
OK, so Pattinson never actually said they were “a couple.”
The Sun claims Pattinson “admitted” he and Stewart were a couple. But that is not the case.
This isn’t to say Pattinson and Stewart are or are not a couple.
But the claim that there was any kind of monumental admission or “fessing up” at the dinner on Sunday simply is not true.
As Gossip Cop has maintained from the beginning, it’s up to the actors to reveal when and what they want to reveal.
well still...for Rob to say "we are together." So if rob wasn't derectily talking about He and kristen then how did he say "This was going to be our coming out party but it's difficult" and talking about sneaking around..hmmm Sun?

ReplyDeleteUgh. This is so sickening. I mean, I want to see them together (and HAPPY) as much as the next Robsten lover but C'MON! This kind of B.S. is why most celeb couples break-up. Scrutinizing the smallest phrases, every move, constant speculation. Please. Give them some privacy, tabloids!

That mag is always getting busted with STRETCHING the truth.
Rob may have said something about being there with Kristen, and they turned it into he said they were dating.
But I do believe they are together. : )
i believe they are a couple from other quotes they truely said, and pictures of them together..... not from the sun magazine.

agree with samantha, maybe he said something like this. but the stupid mags always twisting and streching the words. and thats why rob and kristen are so aware of everything they say or how they act with each other in public!!
so to all magazines: just let them be and accept the fact that they are private people. its up to rob and kris when they will confirm their relationship!

its time rob and kristen come out.it the only way they can aviod all this bs and live thier lives normally..if u look at couples like zanessa, no one gave the shit about them after they came out..and when they come out they should say it to a reputable mag!

Actions speak louder than voice... and come on, Kris went all the way to London to spent New Year with him then after the award night they left together in a car.

ReplyDeleteI agree..They are together and they don't need to make some public annoucement about it either.That is their own business. Maybe that was Robert's way of saying they are by say... we are together. The same way he said in that one press interview that you get to go out with girls like Kristen Stewart, when they were actually asking him what avantages he would have being a vampire. To me, if they would just quit acting like they are not a couple in public, and just do what normal people do when they like each other then pap's might not hound them as much for that one photo of them together.

ReplyDeleteI agree with others...that I don't need to see headlines saying Rob or Kristen confirmed their relationship...the way they behaved with one another the last 2 years, them holding hands, them together during New Year's, them in the same vehicle after the Bafta party, them not confirming or denying, reporters being told not to ask personal questions...are enough evidence that those two are TOGETHER...
