We all know news has been a bit slow lately, and once again my imagination has gotten the best of me. So now I am going to toss my thoughts your way.....

I would love to see Rob Pattinson portray "John Norman Howard" in the re-make of 'A Star is Born'!!!!!! That would be awesome!!!!

When I read The Hunger Games I couldn't get the image of Kristen Stewart as Katniss out of my head even when I really tried. She's athletic and tomboy-ish herself so I think she'd really fit the role.

ReplyDeleteI'm not gonna say a specific role because I don't know that much.... BUT
I would like Rob to steer away from his typical "angsty, damaged" character and I'd like to see him play a strong, independent, outspoken character. I don't want him to be all brooding and emo and depressed and shit. I've had enough of that. He needs to step out of his comfort zone and yeah...
Kristen... same thing.. I want her to do something REALLY different. and NO, different doesn't mean being edgy like play a fucking stripper. Because that move she made with Rileys was really predictable. (Seems like every actress has to play a prostitute to break out of "her shell" or whatever..) I want her to play... a chracter who's not too serious. I don't care if getting this new role isn't award-worthy but idgaf! Just this one movie where she proves every one wrong and say that she's not just one emo, tortured, eye-blinking method one-way actress. Because I know.
she is so MUCH MORE THAN THAT.
And by stepping out of his (rob's) comfort zone.... that does not mean kissing and making love to other dudes. Because I think that is TOO ambitious and ostentatious.

Rob in any romantic comedy as Hugh Grant's son, I have been tempted to write the screen play myself!

i would love to see Rob and Kristen do wuthering heights and romeo and juliet. Anything romantic, sexy and hot. They are the best at that!

ReplyDeleteKristen can pull off anything, and for the anon who suggested it was just her playing a fucking stripper, I think you should go and read the script for Welcome To The Rileys, you'd understand her character more. Can't do that? Shut up then. I want Rob to move out of the roles where he's playing troubled characters, and roles where he's doing so many love scenes. It's not going to show anything about your acting if you're doing love movies.
ReplyDeleteThe majority of us wants the Twilight love of Edward and Bella, what about the repeat of the LOVE STORY (1970) of Ryan O'Neal and Ali Mcgraw for Rob and Kristen. It was an award winning film and a drama, tearjerker film. I think the best actors and actresses must do a solid drama film just like in Titanic.

ReplyDeleteI would love to see Kristen go live on Broadway. After all, she was discovered doing a live stage show (singing!) in school at the tender age of eight. I think that she can actually surprise herself. When you have it, you have it.
ReplyDeleteOff topic, but I want to say that Catherine Hardwicke did a fantastic job of putting together a cast of truly magical charisma. Somehow not all directors pull this off, even though you assume that they want to. I am excited to see Ashley in Skateland, that will probably give me some ideas for her.

I would love possibly for the Twilight gang help out with Stephenie Meyer's Host and keep main couple roles intact such as "Ian/Wanda" with Rob/Kris, and "Jared/Mel" with Jackson/Ashley. Also I think Rob could tackle possibly roles as Van Morrison or even David Bowie. In my opinion, I think Rob and Kris remind me of this generation's Paul Newman and Joanne Woodworth.
ReplyDeleteI agree a lot with Anon. 6:50. I'd like to see Rob do something different, perhaps a lighter comedy. Although he seems made for romantic leading man roles, I think he needs to intersperse those and angst-ridden roles with something something less predictable.
ReplyDeleteAs for Kristen, she's a fine young actress, but when you look back through her roles they are almost all angst-ridden and/or damaged. I would also like to see her play something lighter and perhaps comedic to step out of her comfort zone. I can't quite picture her in a comedy, but you never know.
Betcha Kristen could play Hillary if she wanted too!

OMG! I agree completely...especially after seeing those sexy harper's bazaar pics...they look like spies or assassins (and would make very hot ones indeed!!)
But what I have been DYING to see Rob AND Kristen signed up for is a comedy... romantic or not... I know they're capable of it... even if it's a less mainstream comedy of the indi sort like superbad or juno ... that'd be great too ... just to echo what everyone else has been saying... OUT of their comfort zone... so that would be comedy. :) ... plus rob is naturally funny in a weird way... i know he's capable for sure ;)
