Breaking Dawn: Too Steamy??

VANCOUVER — The heavy petting between Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in the Twilight series is just too hot and heavy for vampire dad Carlisle Cullen.

Peter Facinelli, who plays Edward Cullen's pop, says the Edward-Bella romance dance is preventing his own daughter from scoping the film.

“I have a 12-year-old daughter [Luca Bella, whose mom is Jennie Garth]. She’s a fan and I’d want her not to feel left out or awkward,” Facinelli, 37, told HollywoodLife.com.

He's hoping the necking doesn't get too naughty for his daughter in the fourth of the series, Breaking Dawn.

“Hopefully it’s a PG-13 type of situation,” he added. “I’m sure the producers and directors know what they want—and especially what they are doing—but I’m sure they don’t want to alienate fans.”

Frankly, we find the sex scenes in Twilight don't begin to approach the R, little less the X rating. Maybe an A if the classification board imaginations are running a little randy that day.

And, if they happen at all, how hot do the episodes get in real life between RPattz and Kristen?

None of your business. Or ours.

  2. I don't know, It's just my own opinion and I prefer this BD will not make into a movie. It will never be the same in the movie and we will never get what we want. We have so much complained already of the past two movies and maybe as well as the Eclipse. If only to satisfy Summit to go on with their convenience but not for the fans, it's better to leave BD in our minds.

  3. filmed two versions, one PG-13 and the other one is rated R :D for the adults.

DAMN gives us the sex! LOL

After all, they are married and there's going to be a baby after sex! :D

Yes, even vampires have babies! At least with a human female!

  4. I never got the impression that Twilight was for kids, and Breaking Dawn is definitely not suitable for a 12 year old to read. So makes me wonder..why should the movies be suitable for 12 year olds to watch?

  6. If he let his daughter read the book, then she should be able to see the movie. Or how about this Peter, let her watch when she gets a little older, but don't punish the fans who want to see B&E consuumate their marriage. Look at it this way: you can tell your daughter this is the way it's suppose to be, between a husband and his wife. See, BD can be a teaching tool. LOL!

  7. I agree, Kay. I also never saw the Twilight series as young adult-- it just features a lot of young adults. It may not have any overt sex, but the books are extremely sensual and there are a lot of not-so-thinly veiled sexual references. That said, marketing the series to young adults was probably a smart move from a financial standpoint.

But let's face it, even though most of us will agree that adults are a major portion of the fan base, Summit wants to downplay that idea and target the teen/tween market. So there's no way BD will be anything but PG13. It will still be good; it just won't fulfill the fantasies of the older fans.

It always surprises me that so many parents think Twilight is a great series for tweens and teens. I absolutely love the series, but if I had kids that age I wouldn't want them to read the books until they were about 16. There may be no sex in the books, but they do glorify obsessive love, which I think may be worse.
