The Twilight Saga: Eclipse already picked to be 'formidable competition' for summer 2010

Though there's nearly a year left before the film's release, and the dirt hasn't even been shifted on production for the film yet, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is already being recognized as a source of 'formidable competition' for 2010's summer film schedule.

A recent Variety article highlighted an up-coming Adam Sandler, Chris Rock, Kevin James, Rob Schneider, and David Spade film entitled Grown Ups, which is set for release on June 25, 2010.
In the article, Variety states that "[f]ormidable competition should come with the opening five days later on June 30 of Summit's 'Twilight: The Eclipse.' Paramount's 'The Last Airbender,' from M. Night Shyamalan, follows on July 2."

Apparently, then, Twilight fans aren't the only ones who can predict the future success of the Twilight film saga. Though The Twilight Saga: New Moon has yet to be released, it will undoubtedly reign as one of the most (if not the most) successful of the year.

That said, it is no surprise that a source like Variety would foresee the future of the franchise and note Eclipse as a worthy adversary for summer films such as Grown Ups next summer.

Though we don't have any Eclipse countdowns, yet, the people from NewMoonMovie.org have already created a new site EclipseMovie.org, which has this fan-made poster (by SsGirlo on DeviantArt) and this fan-made trailer, amongst other things.

Taylor Lautner Is Losing The Ladies To Robert Pattinson

Poor Taylor Lautner, not only does he lose Bella to Edward in Twilight, but it seems that he lost rumored girlfriend Selena Gomez to Robert Pattinson too.

A source tell the National Enquirer that Selena would even hang out with him unless he was single, so he dumped his high school girlfriend, Sara Hicks, just to get to Selena. Then after a few months of dating, Selena admitted that she had a thing for RPattz and asked Taylor to "put in a good word for her."

Ever since, Taylor has reportedly been branded "despearte and dateless", while RPattz has the ladies continously attacking him. You know, I understand the whole "OMG! I WANT A VAMPIRE!" thing, but maybe someone should try the shapeshifter out. And yes, Jacob Black is a shapeshifter, not a wearwolf.

Maybe once Selena and Robert get together, Taylor can date their daughter. Anybody? I personally blame Selena Gomez for all this trouble. Such a Bella thing to do, tell one guy you love him, then go date the one all the girls are after.

Don't worry Taylor!

As soon as you turn 18 I'm sure you'll have a legion of women after you too!

Teaming up for a long day on the set, Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning were busy filming scenes for “The Runaways” in Los Angeles on Wednesday (July 1).

During the course of the day’s action, Miss Fanning ended up taking a spill, then having a big laugh with Miss Stewart before jumping on a car and kicking over a trash can.

Robert Pattinson's Family Hates Kristen, Too?

Looks like some of you Kristen Stewart haters in the message boards have found company—with Rob's own family!

According to Life & Style, Robert Pattinson's aunt (did she come crawling out of the bitchy woodwork or what) Diana Nutley is very anti-Robsten saying, "I don't think it would be a good idea for Robert to be in a serious relationship with Kristen...How can he live his life with a fellow star with their every move being watched just like Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes?"

But the passive-aggressive bashing doesn't stop there:

Diana tattles, "I think [Rob] will eventually come back home to England and fall in love with somebody he's known since school. He's only a young man. He's too busy to be involved with anybody in America."

Where the ef did this woman come from? Sounds a bit like a fame-quenching member of the Pattz fam if you ask us, so we don't think K.Stew should sweat it. She already has the approval of Rob's mom and dad, who we hear adored her when they spent time with Kris up in Vancouver. And Rob has already put in good face time with Stewart's mom, too, when they were seen together the morning after the MTV Movie Awards.

We all know a mama's A-OK is the key to a successful relaysh. But if K really wants to ensure she's in good with the Pattinson clan, apparently she just needs the approval of Rob's dog! R.P. told Seventeen back in the day (the same interview where he called Kristen his celeb crush, awww) that his pup was the member of his fam he's closest to. How cute!

Twilight fans lined up for hours yesterday at the trendy clothing store, Affliction, at Hollywood and Vine in LA, to grab a glimpse of their favorite “doctor,” Peter Facinelli. Facinelli signed autographs for hours after having watched his friend Rob DeFranco dance in a bikini to “Single Ladies,” the result of a lost Twitter bet on DeFranco’s part.

Fellow Twilight blogger (Robsten Lovers), mom, and confidante, Elena, was fortunate to have a special encounter with Peter thanks to her daughter in tow.

Multi-talented New Moon star Robert Pattinson was caught on camera holding a guitar on a New York roof for his new film Remember Me. He appears to be shooting a scene where he’s playing the guitar while a male co-star works out on free weights.

WTF (What the Forks) Aunt Nutty?

One of the nice things about being able to blog is the ability to voice your opinion, and let me tell you, Aunt Nutty has me all riled up! Why is it she feels the need to be the voice of the Pattinson family? WTF (What the Forks), is she after her 15 minutes of fame or what! Right about now she is ranked right up there with my fav slanderer Mr. I have to deface all my pics with male anatomy and childish digs, Perez Hilton! At the moment they both feel the need to attack my girl crush KStew, and that's not getting them any brownie points in my book!

Seriously, back to Auntie Can't Keep My Mouth Shut, what difference is it to her if Robsten hooks up? Shouldn't she just want to see Rob happy? I'm guessing she missed the memo on Rob wanting to keep his personal life private because she seems all to willing to out him. If I were him I'd be cutting off a branch of the old family tree!

Eclipse start date set

It's a sunny day for Twilight fans--the third film adaptation of the vampire saga has been given a start date by Summit Entertainment.

Eclipse will begin production August 17, and will be directed by horror helmer David Slade.

Eclipse furthers the tale of the love triangle between Kristen Stewart's Bella Swan, Taylor Lautner's Jacob Black and a little-know actor named Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen.

Slade has some experience in the vampire trade, directing hottie Josh Hartnett in 30 Days of Night.

Is this already the "Twilight" of a relationship between Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart? Robert and Kristen fell madly in love on screen in the first film and in "New Moon" will struggle as events tear them apart. But what about their real life romance. It has been reported that Pattinson and Stewart are dating, but one family member isn't all that thrilled with Kristen and Robert's girlfriend, according to a report out from Life & Style.

OMG, For the love of Forks! Is it not enough that Robsten has to deal with the insane stories coming from the minds of bored columnists! Now they have to deal with Auntie Nuts claiming her 15 minutes of fame! I used to think it was the fans who got whiplash from the tabs frenzy of pro an con reports, but I have to feel for Robsten! They're definitely doing a great job of not responding back to all of this! I can't say I would be as controlled at this point!
