It’s been exactly one year since Twilight, the teenage-vampire book series turned film franchise, became a worldwide phenomenon, launching brooding, reluctant star Robert Pattinson into the celebrity stratosphere. I don't understand why all of a sudden they can now talk about it. Kristen just said she doesn't talk about her personal life. I think they're taking this out of context. The brackets around Kristen's name means he didn't say it. So they inferred it. He could have been talking about anybody.

Trinity, I guess when the magazine comes out someone can post scans or maybe I can run out and get it cause I live in New York so we'll have it here..but I think a dead give away would have to be him saying on "other side of the country"...those two haven't been separated since he wrapped up filming here in early August...there's no denying that. You can also compare the Allure and Interview magazines Kristen did and see how her responses change cause they were done at different times since things "appeared" to have changed.

ReplyDeleteI mean this is suppose to be for New Moon, and they are done with Eclipse now. So I say this is all during New Moon time.... early 2009. I also remember that is around the time I stopped hearing about Mike visiting with Kristen.... around after her birthday in April. Maybe before I don't know.
Tyra Banks even said some of the interviews she has done with magazines were done months back. It's due to busy schedules of both actors, and the editors of the magazine.

But two, her hair was longer and brown and then she cut it for her next movie. Heidi Klum does that with her relationship. Everyone knows who she is married too and stuff, but she says they don't go talking about it all the time. They won't give many interviews about their personal love life. She claims it's what keeps it going strong.
Maybe that is what they are doing here.
I believe Rob and Kristen are together now and things do change. I don't need a mag to confirm to me that Rob and Kristen are together or not. There actions speak for them.

Here we go, weirdly that's what I was expecting during this promotion. But I agree with you about the context, it sounds like he's talking about this summer and the tabloids madness. Even more Kristen's quote about it being absurd, what happened in June/July WAS absurd, a relationship wouldn't be absurd.
ReplyDeleteBut whatever the context is, it makes sense to me (though it's somehow disappointing for us) that they'd try to quiet the rumors before the promotional tour, an attempt to bring the focus back from their relationship to the movie? Funny how Taylor seems to try to be seen with Taylor (imo) and Rob & Kristin are trying to disappear from the rumors.
Anyway, I won't believe any denial (whatever the context is) at this point. Too late buddy. When you're not hanging out with kristen all the time everywhere and looking at each other like that and start seeing other girls (and boys for Kristen), I'll reconsider. Right now, sorry but you're not fooling me, we are not stupid and blind. I have no doubt, unlike lots of rob fans, that he can lie if he needs to or wants to for any reason. I don't know about right now or the future (one thing at a time, we'll see their next appearance), but no way they were not at least together since May (or at the very least August).
The sad thing is the field day the nonstens and haters are going to have with that, I can already hear the words 'pathetic' when we're not believing Rob. I'm happy I've managed to stay out of certain too agressive robsessed sites lately, I'll keep doing that and try to avoid reading their comments as much as I can. I'll also stay away from some robsten sites where that nonstens will most probably invade (which it seems they already have since the rumor about this interview came out).

ReplyDeleteThis seems like the interview was done several months ago, and things have definitely change. The way they act around each other is so different from any regular friends hanging out with each other. They act like two people who really really like each other, and have this connection - I mean, they are constantly together ALL THE FREAKIN TIME. Maybe things between them weren't definite back then - as in they were just testing out the waters to see where they're relationship is progressing to, or maybe it's still at that stage who knows? But I've never seen two people with more chemistry on and off screen since Brangelina - and we know where that headed. If they aren't together, then there still this undeniable attraction and raw sexual tension whenever they are around each other, and it's ready to explode.

The magazine itself states the rumors are false not him and they imply with quotations that he is speaking of Kristen. Kristens comment was from a interview a long time ago. I am sure this is what will be on extra tonight clip pics of them and someone reading us this VF bullcrap! Once they sit down together we will be able to see the chemistry or not. how in the heck is ignoring the dating questions, and not commenting on them keeping any better than just flat out saying it right away. the denied it during the first movie, and i did believe them. they came out right away, and answered the questions about dating each other. now on the other hand....

Not take a quote - clearly - about the media sensation and crap gossip mag covers - and spin doctor it into a 'denial' of a relationship as obvious as the sky being blue. Don't know how long ago this interview was conducted (probably early summer June ish) but really, lots of things you could have asked about. You're looking exactly like Entertainment Tonight who even had video of him saying how ridiculous the magazine covers were and turned it to a "the rumours are false" tag. Well done. You drink from the same pool as the rest of them. The pictures are amazing, that's about all I can say about that. Also the contracts were for 3 movie deals and the third is now in the can so is it still silence until June 2010 or now. I wonder what Rob will be clearing up tomorrow night on Access Hollywood maybe this interview that he gave earlier. I think at this point I really will believe my dad he always said "beleive nothing that you hear and only half of what you see" Time will tell and I will just enjoy watching their interactions with each other can't wait for the premiere stuff when they are together.

ReplyDeleteRemember too the last time we saw Kristen with Mike. It was in Vancouver in April. They were photographed on the street laughing and Mike was giving her a piggy-back ride. It seemed very fake to me at the time, like they were trying to convince everyone they were together. But it was very unlike the reserved Kristen. Then suddenly, no more Mike.

It must be very disturbing to them to have more focus on the romantic activities of their two leads than on their movie. ReplyDeleteIt is old and done when they were still trying to keep everything quiet and underwraps. Speculation is that it was partially at Summits request and their own desire to be private. I have read Rob's statement before and he is only talking about the crazy articles written about him. So much has happened since then.
We will have to wait and see. What happens on the publicity tours and/or maybe until they are over.

He has direct quotes in this paragraph EXCEPT Rob actually saying they are false. Bahhhhh. BS old stuff from CC 09 when they were trying to keep on the DL. Rob has said this in other mags in response to the BS articles about him being a Man ho and drunk.

ReplyDeleteThis is ridiculous. It's not "over analyzing" to say that Rob doesn't deny the relationship. He doesn't. That's just a fact. Read the quotes again. He does a beautiful job deflecting, but he certainly doesn't deny it. Plus, that was a terrible thing to say about Ted, whether you like him or not.

ReplyDeleteThe only thing that can be interpreted as a denial are the interview's words which are not supported by a quotation from him.
I think what is more significant is Catherine's quote. She talked about their feelings for each other. To me that is a obvious acknowledgment, especially when taken with the rest of the evidence we have for a more than friendship.
Rob isn't denying anything in this interview.

I dont know why it is said there that the love affair rumours was false. For it is very clear that Rob's answer was not quite related to the rumour issue but he was just pointing out how the mags and the tabloids were scrutinizing their personal lives, and the actual question was not stated there. I'm not sure but I think the interviewer and the editor of this mag had the wrong understanding or impression of Robs statement he was not actually answer the question I know that this mag is credible for their articles but I think they already stated a conclusion in this article that rumour is false which is wrong because in Rob's quote it is not actually and Rob's answer was indirectly to the question.

ReplyDeleteI think everyone is getting all excited for nothing. The interview said it took place in San Diego at the Hard Rock Hotel. So that was Comic Con. There has been three months since that time. Honesty, I don't think we will ever know the truth on these two. HOwever, there are been many pictures indicating they hang out a lot and are very close. I don't think Rob and Kris could ever deny that fact.

Girls, I think we have to accept and believe Rob's denial of the Robsten relationship, and it is a firm denial. Yes, I feel like I've been tricked a little, especially since Kristen's been snapped on his hotel room balcony in the morning, but whatevver. What Kristen and Rob have is a very strange relationship apparently if they spend most of their time together but don't date. I can't help but feel a little disappointed. Nevertheless, it's time to accept that they are NOT TOGETHER.

I think there was probably something there at one time but not the true love we hoped for. I feel sorry for them both, to be put into such an ordeal that you can't even be sure of your own feelings without the world criticizing you. As much as I want Robsten to be true I'm done. Either we are being lied to for PR or we are smoothering them to the point that they can't even figure out what they have or could have. Time to focus on Edward and Bella so that Rob and Kristen can figure things out ALONE!

something about delaney : she supposed to know an insider working close to either RP/KS. She told things way before it happened, so she seems legit. The latest is about the HB photoshoot, among which she described a pose of RP kneeling in front of KS and KS wearing a long black wig. seems trustworthy if she said RP is pissed about the VF article.

I know this isn't a denial out of his mouth, but he and his agents would have had copy approval I believe, and they allowed this to be said. I am so sad, this is a bad day.

Kristen has been thrown into the gutter with all this talks because she was linked to him. The many rumored hook-ups, messy love life etc, then all these talks of kristen being a cheater, pregnant etc. He has not even defended kristen IN ANY WAY, he may not confirm the relationship but at least do something to lessen it if he was just a good friend. He's just a guy who sulks in the corner and does not take risks. For being with kristen, he got something that he cannot fight for-and its just plain sad. I just hope kristen would see this and move on with a BETTER GUY. Im just thoroughly disappointed. I dont know the amount of damage control he's gonna do this time. 3. VF, though credible, is just another magazine with an interview. We've all done this dance before. Every interview it's always with the denying and yet we find them together at a hotel or a concert or whatever. It means something that they're inseperable. Practically attached to the hip (or groin, whichever you prefer).
This really doesn't do much clearing about the relationship. It's like were back right where we started. I know, I've read what he said but doesn't he/she always say that???
Maybe it wasn't a great love affair when he did the article and it has grown to what we have seen pictures of.I can't believe we can all be wrong from what we have seen.You are right though he should have stuck up for Kristens integrity because of all the crap.I am waiting to see what Extra says tonight .They said it is an interview with him.

And I think that if MA was w/ Kris he would be mad about all the rumors and would have already said something to the media. If there is nothing going on, this kind of statement would have come from his publicist every month for the past 6 months, but it never has. From the sound of it, Extra is just going to be reading the Vanity Fair interview out loud. For my money, Ted Casablanca is the closest to the truth on this, having real contacts and done real source research. And what about morning after pictures at Hotel Charlie and Chateau Marmont? If Kristen was concerned about protecting herself from a reputed love affair with Rob, no way would she have been in either of those places at those times under any circumstances. As Alice would say, "just words".

So much drama for nothing.VF is a legit magazine with serious journalists,it's not a tabloid.All the interviews are discussed with the actor's team and the actor himself.Rob and his team were aware of that interview.If he wanted,he could say something about it.His publicist or his manager would have said that he didn't mean that.That the magazine and the journalist didn't understand correctly what he wanted to say.But nothing.Rob and his people are all quite.That means they agree with the magazine.So the question is why so many months they didn't deny it from the beginning?Rob said that whatever he says people believe what they want.So maybe they thought it was a waste of time to deny it and of course it was great for the movie.

If you read the interview closely you will see that it's...remarkably empty and lacking in originality. No interesting questions are asked. Nothing new is revealed. I would have expected something about Rob's interests, his new projects, his music, Remember Me - but no. It all sounds like a mash-up of old stuff. It's sometimes intentionally nasty (him allegedly being drunk on the twilight set, his messy hotel room) - as if the interviewer did not like him or had not bothered to do any research. Just because VF is well-known does not mean it's always good. And this is definitely a below the average interview. So clicky on the pics and forget the boring babble of an obviously very gifted journalist...

I told you people yesterday that he would deny the relationship and he did. Why? Because he doesn't have time for relationships, not real ones anyway. He's busy. He and Kristen are not an item. They had their fling when it was convenient and now they're done. That's how he rolls. Rob is a young man with the world at his feet. He's not into relationships. I told you so!!! It doesn't matter how old this interview is because they were hanging out together and going to restaurants together in Italy at the end of New Moon (when this interview took place) and he was denying it then! So seriously, he will always deny it because he's young and wants to keep his options open. But don't feel bad: Edward and Bella are still together.

I think the two of them (R and K) just need to do a sit down let's hear it from THEIR mouths on the whole thing.
R and K are not the type to lead/ lie to their fans. I find them very loyal, real, and good people. I been a fan of K since I think 2001, or when she did Panic Room. I been a fan of Rob since 2008. Never once have I felt they mislead their fans. (I think for a long time that's why they just said no comment, or nothing on the dating issue. They felt that maybe if they said no, and it got out it was really yes then they would be looked at as liars.)

Easy! Plus it bothers me that their co stars are silent about it too. Like either they were told to not say anything, or their co stars really do not know. ReplyDeleteI don't think anyone, myself, people who are denying it, people who stick to believing in Robsten, are ever going to get a dead on answer.
ReplyDeleteThe questions that get asked, either aren't great questions to be asking. There aren't enough. So an interviewer could ask something, and it may not provide people like us, with the right answer, because the question was not a straightforward one or there were no questions after relating to the one before. I'm sure to get to the bottom of something, more than one question needs to be asked.
It depends what is asked too.
And if this interview was done in June or whatever month people say it was. You can guarantee when it's sometime in January next year we'll get the November interviews. Why don't they give an up to date interview?
So keep a lid on it with the denials.
Because how the hell do you know what he was asked, when he was asked, and what he was referring to? You seriously don't. To know what someone is referring to, you have to take a walk in their shoes. None of us know for sure what he was asked, when this interview was done, and what he meant.
Rob contradicts himself sometimes.
He's a guy who is all over the place, so whatever he says, I never know what to think. I don't understand him. :D
